Adrian Mediratta, Group Managing Director

  • Adrian was educated at Charterhouse school and Nottingham Trent University. After graduation Adrian held management positions in the restaurant and food trade including establishing and running a successful chain of outlets.
  • Adrian has since worked in the property industry for over a decade. In 2002 he co-founded Urban Exposure with Randeesh Sandhu.
  • Adrian’s expertise extends mainly to the international side of the business, which has included setting up two overseas offices, and managing projects in a number of jurisdictions such as the UK, Greece, Canada, Thailand and the Czech Republic.
  • Adrian’s property expertise lies in structuring joint venture projects, financing projects with both equity and banking finance, project feasibility appraisal and management.

Randeesh Sandhu, Group Managing Director

  • Randeesh has a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics & Statistics from Warwick University.
  • He holds the Investment Management Certificate, giving IMRO threshold competency.
  • Randeesh has worked as an analyst in various roles within the pensions, insurance and banking sectors, including as a Credit Risk Analyst for Deutsche Bank and a Market Risk Analyst for Royal & Sun Alliance Investments (now part of Friends Ivory).
  • During his banking years he specialised in the modeling of credit exposure, derivatives pricing and valuing asset-backed securities.
  • Randeesh left Deutsche Bank in 2002 to become one of the co-founders of Urban Exposure Ltd
  • Randeesh’s property expertise lies in structuring joint venture projects, financing projects with both equity and banking finance, project feasibility appraisal and management.
  • In 2006 Randeesh co-founded UX Mortgages, a specialist Buy to Let mortgage lender in the UK
  • In the mortgage lending arena Randeesh had responsibility for operational management, product design, and distribution strategy.

Daljit Sandhu, Group Marketing Director

  • Daljit has a Bachelors Degree in Business & Marketing, a postgraduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She has circa 9 years experience in the financial services and real estate sectors
  • She started her career working in the consumer credit industry in Business Development for Beneficial Bank (part of HSBC) where she managed some of their largest affinity relationships. She then moved to AXA Insurance account managing a relationship with the RAC where she was part of a project team converting the business from a direct insurer to a broker panel, she oversaw a re-brand of the business and devised and implemented a new marketing plan.
  • Daljit is a founding Director of Urban Exposure Ltd where she is responsible for the sales and marketing strategy at a corporate and individual project level.
  • She is currently Marketing Director of UX Mortgages Ltd focussed on developing brand recognition and sales through intermediary channels.
  • She is skilled in all aspects of strategic and tactical marketing, including brand strategy, devising annual plans, targeting, segmentation and all aspects of campaign management for acquisition, retention and cross sell campaigns both on and offline, as well as corporate and product PR.

Armagan Deniz, Managing Director, Urban Exposure Turkey

  • Armagan Deniz was born in Ankara Turkey, and has UK and Turkish citizenship.
  • Armagan co-founded Urban Exposure Turkey in 2006, and was fundamental in helping the Company source developments worth over $1 billion within its first year of operation. He has extensive experience of both the legal and political business climate in Turkey and an invaluable business network in both the property industry and professional services.
  • He was educated at Cavusoglu College in Bakirkoy, Istanbul. He went on to study International Business and Marketing in Schiller University's campuses in Florida and London where he achieved a double major in 1994. After graduating he worked in the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
  • In 1995 he started a business based in Antalya exporting flowers to the UK wholesale market. By 2006 this business - Baris Deniz AS - had grown into a Company with a $20m turnover employing some 500 people. The flower division supplies Asda and Marks and Spencer in the UK. A fresh fruit division has expanded rapidly and now exports to major retailers in the UK and Europe including Sainsbury, Tesco, Carrefour, and Rewe Group. Baris Deniz is now expanding into the export of fresh fish.
  • In 2007 Armagan successfully prepared the Company for a flotation on the Turkish Stock Exchange.

Hugh Smallwood, Director, Urban Exposure Turkey

  • Hugh was educated at Cranleigh School and Cate School, California.
  • After a 2 year stay with CE Heath at Lloyds, he started his own office cleaning company, which was eventually sold in 1989. He then began a car importation business based in Sheerness which became the largest car importation center in the UK. The company, Known as Bluett Shipping employed some 300 people involved in storage, P.D.I and distribution of 60% of Japanese imports. This company was sold in 1979.
  • In 1979 he founded Larkins Security which undertook a series of acquisitions propelling the company to become the 8th largest manned guarding company in the UK – which was awarded the accolade of one of Europe’s fastest growing companies. The company was eventually sold to Williams Plc in 1998.
  • In 1998 Hugh invested in Baris Deniz Ltd owned by Armagan Deniz which exported fresh flowers to the wholesale market in the UK. Baris Deniz is now Turkeys largest exporter of spray carnations supplying UK supermarkets. The company has expanded into the export of fruit and fish items to well known UK and European supermarkets and is planned to be listed on the Turkish stock exchange in 2007/2008.
